The Service Manager provides oversight of rental and repair profit centers daily operations. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations of the service and rental departments. This includes rental and service billing and invoicing, coordinating service calls, and leading and motivating the departments. This supervisory role is responsible for leading the service and rental departments, which is approximately 3 to 5 direct reports.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure safety procedures are implemented and being followed
- Plan and coordinate rental and service billing and invoicing
- Maintain recondition inventory/rental fleet values and sales
- Assist with yearly revenue and expense budget
- Monitor quality control benchmarks
- Grow rental and service revenue while remaining profitable
- Answer technical/parts lookup questions for customers/sales department in a helpful and courteous manner
- Comprehend and communicate all aspects of warranty programs
- Oversee return of warranty items and maintain related paperwork while tracking proper billing and reimbursement of warranty labor
- Enter workorders and rental tickets as required
- Oversee parts inventory including cycle counts/bin locations and place orders thru purchasing as necessary
- Receive and coordinate service calls and determine which Service Technician will be responsible for the repairs needed
- Determine buyout pricing on rental equipment
- Maintain 5S principles within all areas of the department
- Conduct weekly Level 10 department meetings to provide consistent communication with the team that allows for opinions, suggestions, and cohesive teamwork
- Maintain departmental scorecard tracking key performance metrics of the department.
- Coordinate and implement annual training plans for departmental employees
- Provide employee coaching, counseling, and job performance evaluation
- Conduct timely performance reviews for all departmental employees
- Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors
- Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words
- Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience performing comparable duties
- Must have the ability to read parts and electrical diagrams
- Must have management experience and the ability to lead and motivate others
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to make good decisions to immediate problems
