HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The KC location is currently under construction and this position will report to the VP of Gas Operations throughout the new construction phase that will be happening over the next 12 – 18 months. During this period, the Area Facilities Manager will have direct communication with the general contractor, subcontractors, and VP of Operations to serve as a coordinator of the construction site.


As part of the regular business operations, this position is responsible for repairing, maintaining and performing preventative maintenance on the facility and equipment for the (currently) two Kansas City locations. This position plays an important part in keeping the manufacturing equipment running efficiently and safely. Prior experience repairing industrial machinery with hydraulics and/or pneumatics is required. Knowledge and experience with 460V 3 Phase Systems is also required.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • During construction phase, a daily check-in with the VP of Gas Operations, the Corporate Facilities Manager and the local Production Managers
  • Review daily construction plans with the General Contractor and Subcontractors to ensure work is progressing according to schedule
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment at the KC locations as needed
  • Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories while also anticipating appropriate levels of inventory
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and determine proper repair solutions
  • Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with internal departments.
  • Complete all work orders in a timely fashion
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation
  • Actively participate in identifying and implementing safety improvements
  • Follow all safety procedures and comply with applicable government regulations.
  • Assist housekeeping and other maintenance team members as needed
  • Perform routine facility maintenance, including but not limited to: groundskeeping, painting, changing light bulbs, minor carpentry
  • Have a willingness to learn/ train from working alongside of experienced team members
  • Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors
  • Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words
  • Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required
  • Valid Drivers' License, Required
  • Industrial electricity knowledge with 460v 3 phase power systems, Required
  • Experience repairing hydraulic and pneumatic machinery, Strongly Preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, Required
  • General knowledge of building codes, Preferred
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A mindset focused on safety for self and co-workers
  • Ability to use various measuring instruments
  • General computer skills
  • Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance

REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT

All proper safety equipment must be worn according to company policies and OSHA/AWS regulations including, but not limited to: safety glasses, safety boots, welding hoods and gloves when testing equipment, and ear protection.
