Director of IT

In this role, you will lead strategic and operational IT implementation, to achieve company goals while fostering innovation, prioritizing technology initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technology solutions. This role will leverage a combination of strategic, operational, and analytical experience to assist in developing and leading the strategic vision of CK Supply's IT organization, lead technology implementation for critical initiatives, and own implementation and support of technology systems and software. You will be a hands-on Director of IT responsible for ensuring that the hardware and software used by our company are compatible, secure, and scalable, while providing managerial direction to staff. You will impact your & all other employees' wealth by increasing efficiencies across CK Supply.

As the largest independent distributor of welding and gas products in Missouri and downstate Illinois, CK Supply distributes a full line of industrial welding and gas related equipment focusing on product quality, best-in-class service and family values. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role requires operations-oriented leadership, with a strong emphasis on creating a highly engaged, high-performing team while also managing 3rd party relationships, contractors, and vendors. The success of this role involves driving results through engagement with leadership and cross-functional partners.

• Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words.
• Demonstrate the ability to consult, influence and establish connections with CK Supply leaders (and third-party partners, as required) in supporting and executing technology strategies.
• Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures which support the near- and long-term vision for CK Supply.
• Manage IT staff, including a desktop support position and systems manager, providing mentorship and career development, while supporting the organization's day-to-day operational IT requirements.
• Comprehensive ownership of company software, including technical troubleshooting and business system integration.
• Demonstrate confidence challenging the status quo and reshaping the organization to deliver on CK Supply's 1-, 3- and 10-year strategic objectives.
• Operationalize IT processes across the company. Identify capability gaps and determine where new development is required versus implementing packaged solutions.
• Proactively manage projects to deliver them in-scope, on-time and on-budget while enforcing checkpoints and managing change-control, with projects to include point of delivery/routing software implementation, accounting software enhancements, video conference capabilities and more.
• Provide advice on evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems. Negotiates all IT acquisition contracts, soliciting involvement and participation of other management team members, as appropriate.
• Ensure all systems, controls and procedures are in place and active to prevent any cybersecurity breach, while maintaining enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection of company IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field of study
• 10+ years of experience including a proven track record of successful IT project implementations and at least 3+ years of leading a technical team.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
• Successful track record of implementing and managing enterprise-wide solutions in warehouse and/or distribution environment including cloud-based ERP solutions, NetSuite Experience a positive.
• Strategic technology thinker with a thorough understanding of how a variety of complex business systems interface and work together.
• Expert in Microsoft collaboration tools and technologies
• Strong knowledge of leading cybersecurity standards and best practices
• Strong leadership and team building skills with a demonstrated track record of working in matrix environments and managing third parties to achieve superior results.

• Excellent organization, time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects, locations, and technology needs.
• Prefer experience with asset tracking technology/software
• Position will be on-site for foreseeable future, with hybrid potential once fully on-boarded.
