The Buyer is responsible for purchasing hard goods and expense items. They will also coordinate appropriate stock levels with the Hardgoods Product Manager. This position ensures that we have the right product at the right cost to serve our customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze supply chain data and performance for hard goods and expense items to maintain proper inventory
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and maintain resources needed
• Develop and maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company and branches
• Collaborate with Hardgoods Product Manager to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation
• Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
• Create item numbers and maintain item master records for inventory tracking
• Create and maintain required reports for slow- and fast-moving stock
• Assist with cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory levels
• Assist Hardgoods Product Manager with monitoring and correcting inventory levels at all warehouses to ensure rotation and maximize working capital
• Coordinate communications and negotiations with suppliers along with Hardgoods Product Manager
• Follow all safety guidelines and requirements including proper personal protective equipment
• Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and communication
• Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
• Must possess strong knowledge of replenishment policies and inventory planning
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office and ERP purchase order platform

Physical Requirements

• Reading, writing, counting, and basic mathematical skills required to accurately complete assigned duties
• Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs from floor to waist without assistance regularly
• Must be able to operate and safely use all necessary equipment located in the Warehouse
• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, twist, kneel, reach, grab, and pull frequently
• Must be able to type

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse; sometimes extreme heat/cold
• Working around dust & dirt
• Handling hazardous materials

REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT

All proper safety equipment must be worn according to company policies and regulations including safety glasses, safety boots, and ear protection.
