POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for the assembly of various welding machines according to the manufacturer's operational safety standards. This position maintains a courteous, professional manner while working with customers and co-workers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Assembles various new welding machines that necessitate gas hoses, power cables, setting voltage and building cylinder racks as required by manufacturer.
  2. Ensures outgoing rental equipment is properly setup and tested.
  3. Inspects all returned rental equipment and machines to ensure there is no damage and that equipment runs properly.
  4. Troubleshoots and repairs Mig guns.
  5. Ensures repair equipment and rental equipment, for branch locations, are staged in proper shipping area and enter delivery/ billing tickets into computer.
  6. Loads and unloads machines for customers.
  7. Assist with incoming rental and service phone calls.
  8. Assist with log in of equipment for repair.
  9. Assist in weekly inventory cycle counts.
  10. Practices all safety policies and procedures.
  11. All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Welding equipment knowledge and one year of related experience, required
  • Extensive knowledge of welding equipment assembly.
  • Ability to read and comprehend vendor manual instructions.
  • Must be able to use web-based computer programs and basic software
  • Vision is correctable to within normal range for completion of reports.
  • Must possess the ability to move or lift products and materials of varied sizes and weights, sometimes in excess of 75 pounds.
  • Position requires bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing.
  • Must have ability to operate all necessary equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently.
